Choreographer & performer

"I think along with the gay liberation movement, dancing kind of saved my life. It moved my energy; growing up in the closet in the early '60s was just a desperately repressed, self hating world I was trained into. And so, the wonderful dancers and teachers I had along the way released me to flow my energy. It became a question partly of accepting myself. Of course then, becoming a professional was another part of it, but I never lost that love and connection to the earth and my body and my spirit. And the energy and connection to others. So it feels just wonderful to move and dance.”
